Dissemination, as the main pillar of arch/ves's action, understood as a constituent process of communicating the science it holds, does not only refer to the way in which it publishes its knowledge, but also to the active way in which it mediates and applies it, producing, structuring, and configuring the heritage and culture it holds for the public that accesses it, transcending it. Its dissemination strategy combines public exhibition with extension and specialized training programs, expanding the Archive's reach in the construction of inclusive narratives accessible to all.
In this sense, in addition to the technical archiving unit, responsible for the technical and scientific treatment of the collections, the research unit – por/arq (Por uma Memória Arquitetónica) (For Architectural Memory) – operates by returning the former to its investigative value, establishing a link with scientific reality by reworking the research as a way of assisting in the study of the subject matter previously dealt with. Developing historiographical methodologies in an innovative way, it articulates stratigraphic analysis, critical re-drawing, relational cartographies, and procedural reconstructions, which, when applied to the study of design practices, disciplinary genealogies, professional networks, and constructive languages of the authors and cases represented, focus on constructing a critique of the past to design a future, ensuring a link between them.
