On a conceptual level, the arch/ves
Architecture, Urbanism and Design Archive of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon (FA-ULisboa) - explores the articulation between traditional practices and emerging tools, valuing the potential of documentation as a form of critical and targeted reading of the territory, the profession and the history of Portuguese Architecture, Urbanism and Design and the social, political and cultural contexts that have shaped it.

In the physical coexistence of its repository with the digital platform, arch/ves enables an expanded experience of heritage and what is known about it, making it possible through its intersectional approach to link the disciplinary past with contemporary practice, combining critical memory with methodological and technological innovation.

In response to the challenge of putting the Archive at the service of others, its scientific community has created strategies to circulate the information it has researched, adding value to the knowledge produced.
