Graduated in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon in 1996, Filipa Roseta where she is currently an Associated Professor in the Department of Architecture. In 2001, she co-founded Roseta Vaz Monteiro Arquitectos with Francisco Vaz Monteiro, where she led several architectural projects, including the Igreja da Boa Nova, a primary school, and a community centre.

Alongside her professional practice, Roseta has developed a theoretical discourse on modernity, focusing on how invention shapes the production of space. From 2006 to 2008, she lived in London, where she earned a PhD from the Royal College of Art with a thesis titled A Avenida Moderna.

She has published articles, book chapters, and co-authored a book on these subjects. She has been a member of the Ordem dos Arquitetos since 1996. Early in her career, she worked in various Portuguese architectural firms and obtained a master’s degree in Architectural and Contemporary Culture from the University of Lisbon.
