Aligned with the principles of the National Arts Plan,
the National Archives Strategy and the
European Agenda for Culture, the arch/ves
- Architecture, Urbanism and Design Archive of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon (FA-ULisboa) - responds to the challenges of public policies for heritage preservation, scientific research and access to culture.
With a qualified multidisciplinary team, solid institutional integration and a sustainable growth model, arch/ves has established itself as an example of contemporary heritage appreciation and a replicable model of critical infrastructure at the service of sustainable development, collective memory, the democratization of knowledge and advanced training, developing a network of relationships with research centers and research groups with common or complementary interests, as well as with national and international researchers involved in the work carried out as collaborators or consultants.
Thus welcomes the development of collective and individual research, asserting itself as a transformation device capable of mobilizing heritage as a critical study of the principles, hypotheses and results of various dynamics, with the aim of determining their logical foundations, their value and their objective importance.
